Enrichment and Opportunities
Our commitment to developing the whole person extends significantly beyond the academic curriculum, with a rich array of enrichment opportunities. Students participate in dedicated personal development sessions designed to broaden their understanding of wider world issues and prepare them for adulthood. These sessions cover practical life skills such as independent cooking, basic car maintenance, and money management, alongside discussions on current social and political issues. Furthermore, students have extensive opportunities to act as mentors and role models for younger students, offering support in areas like reading, numeracy, and emotional well-being. To enhance their learning and provide real-world context, numerous subject-specific trips are organised, such as Media excursions to London and Geography fieldwork in Wales. These diverse enrichment activities are integral to our holistic approach, ensuring students develop not just academically, but also as well-rounded, confident, and engaged individuals.
