Admissions and Application Process

To join our post-16 provision, all students are required to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, and these must include both English and Maths. For students who do not initially meet the required grade in English or Maths, we offer the opportunity to resit these subjects. While these are the general entry criteria, it's important to note that some specific A-level courses have higher entry requirements to reflect their demanding nature and ensure students are adequately prepared. Students do not necessarily have to have studied a subject at GCSE to take it at A-Level; however, if they have studied the subject previously at GCSE, a minimum grade of 4 is required to continue it at A-Level. Our entry requirements are carefully designed to be supportive, with the primary aim of ensuring each student is placed on an appropriate pathway that maximises their potential for success.

Prospective students can apply to our post-16 provision via our website. The application window opens in October and remains open throughout the academic year, offering flexibility for applicants. As part of our admissions process, all applicants are invited for an informal interview. Following a successful application and interview, all applicants will receive a conditional offer, contingent upon meeting the specified entry requirements.
